All match games are managed from our experienced or properly trained referees that are well aware of the professional futsal rules. The referee is always making sure the game is played fair and that all the players are safe. Players can ask the referee for information about the rules or personal concerns that they might have. In our club we give the opportunity for anyone that is keen on becoming a referee to work with us after is being well trained by our staff. The referee will decide wherever there’s a foul, penalty, corner and goal favoring either team. In case of any long arguments between the teams or referee, the referee has the right to cancel the whole match and declare the winner or eliminate both teams.
We rent fully professional Futsal courts that are located in Nicosia. There are 11 available courts for us to organize our Futsal competition events. All Futsal courts are outdoors with tall wire fences and sports rubber grass surface that prevent injuries. The dimensions of the courts are following the futsal standards with properly lined marks. We want to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for everyone during the game with the main goal of maximizing our player’s top performance.
In every match game we will supply our teams the proper futsal gear that is necessary for the safety for our players and boost their performance. The gear includes a professional futsal ball, goalkeeper gloves, futsal shin guards and futsal bibs with numbers. In case of injuries we supply our players with the right medical equipment. In case our players need necessary equipment we can provide them such as, futsal kit and futsal shoes of our own merge. For any additional gear that the players already own and they want to use, they have to be according to futsal standards and regulations.
Futsal was invented from Juan Carlos Ceriani, a teacher in Montevideo, Uruguay and it means “Indoor Football”. The game is played with a smaller, harder, and less a ball with less bounce compared to Football (Soccer). Unlike Football (Soccer) the game is played with each team having 5 players from which the one being the goalkeeper. The surface, ball and rules favors and encourages ball control, improvisation, creativity and technique and discourages highball.
The general rules of Futsal follows the same rules of Football (Soccer) but there are some main rules that differ and every player must recognize, to prevent any misunderstandings or excess confusion. Many people are confusing the rules of Football (Soccer) with the those in Futsal which makes the answer unclear. The following rules are the one’s different from Football (Soccer):
